Note
In the interest of protecting security and your identity, ed2go prohibits sharing personal information
such as your actual first and last name, address, phone number, email address, or other personally
identifiable information.
Always be careful with your personal information when posting URLs, even for assignments in this course.
Please do not include your full name or contact information (including your email address)
on your sample web pages, or links to pages on your site that provide this information. When naming your site,
please do not use your first or last name.

The author meta tag
The author meta tag has its roots in the early days of the Web when it was all about publishing
scientific and academic papers.
An author metatag doesn't always make sense,
especially if the site is about a business or organization.
So don't feel you must
include such a tag.
But you're welcome to use it if you'd like to give yourself credit for writing the page.
The author name you provide won't show up in the browser. But the search engine indexing bots
will catalogue it,
and once the site has been online for a while, people will be able
to find the
page by author name.
